Botox™ is the brand name which has become synonymous with the reduction of fine lines and wrinkles of the face when injected cosmetically.
It is considered to be the most effective treatment for smoothing lines and it is currently used to treat millions of people worldwide every year. Mainly used to treat troublesome frown lines and crow's feet by relaxing the muscles causing these it is also used in other facial areas and  in the treatment of migraines and for excessive sweating.

Botox™ is now available as a non-branded product and it is a protein which inactivates  muscles by blocking neuro-transmission when injected superficially into the skin. This then allows the muscles to hibernate creating a fresher and smoother appearance.
Injections with a very fine needle are quick, relatively pain free and have very little likelihood of side effects.

Once it has been established after a full consultation that Botox™ is the right treatment for you with alternatives discussed then subsequent treatment may follow. After care instructions will be provided.
After a few days you will begin to notice a slight smoothing of the skin which will reach full effect in two weeks. At this point a second consultation may be necessary to ensure you are  fully satisfied with the results. The treatment will generally last between 3-4 mths. It is up to the individual when they return for their next treatment but on average it is about every four months. This may lessen with time and as the habit of frowning is forgotten.
