Facial Veins

Laser treatment uses high energy light to remove unsightly facial veins. This is done painlessly and permanently. Treatment for average cases around the cheeks and nose might cost in the area of £120. It is possible that future veins might appear at a future date which can be treated separately. The only precaution is to remain out of the sun for a few days afterwards as there could be a degree of facial redness following the procedure.

Leg Veins

This treatment is confined to superficial 'thread veins', essentially superficial low pressure vessels. Treatment here is entirely dependent on the area and intensity of treatment required and would be best estimated following individual consultation. For isolated veins cost may be in order of £60-£75 but more extensive problems would be priced accordingly. There is not usually any need for extensive 'down time' after this treatment.

Unwanted Body Hair

This is usually a course of 4-6 treatments as it requires treating each cycle of hair growth as it emerges. Treatments work best on dark hair as the hair follicle absorbs light energy best. This procedure is not painful but may cause slight discomfort. Following the course of treatment, the results ae semi-permanent but may require very occasional top-up treatments. Typically underarm or bikini-line treatments would cost in the range of £80 to £100 per treatment, upper lip £90 and lower legs £200.

Facial Rejuvenation

This is a lengthy course of treatment involving initially treatment of superficial skin lesions and thread veins followed by deeper stimulation of the collagen under the skin. The gentle laser corrects pigmentation irregularities and encourages new collagen growth to smooth out existing wrinkles gradually. Treatment is usually once a month for 6 months and each session may cost in the region of £200. This would provide rejuvenation of facial skin lasting 2-3 years.

Treatment of Acne

Acne is a condition caused by skin cells that do not shed properly and plug pores causing oil and bacteria to be trapped inside. Using laser light on problem areas activates the bodys' natural bacteria fighting defenses, significantly reducing the severity of current and future breakouts. Prices will be discussed on consultation.

A variety of other treatments such as rosacea, some areas of pigmentation and small blood vessel malformation are available. For all treatments it is advised that a high factor sun-block is worn before and after each procedure and sun-beds and self-tanning products should be avoided. Initially after treatment your face may appear flushed and slightly swollen and although these effects usually subside after a few hours they may continue for a few days.
