Mesotherapy

How Does It Work?

Originally a medical technique devised in 1958 by Dr Michel Pastor, a frenchman, mesotherapy has since been extremely successful in the treatment of aesthetic conditions in many other countries. Cellulite and Orange Peel effect can be effectively managed with the use of mesotherapy.

Mesotherapy is the practice of using microinjections of homeopathic medication into the mesoderm or middle layer of skin to deliver corrective treatment to a specific area of the body. It is best known for its use in reducing fat deposits, and especially fat deposits like double chins, love handles, eye bags and stubborn areas of cellulite on abdomen, thighs and buttocks.

Mesotherapy works at a cellular level, stimulating each and every fat cell in the treated area to shed its fat store. This in turn triggers your body's own fat metabolism mechanisms enabling them to give up their fat stores as fatty acid and water so that the cellulite is reabsorbed into the body's system naturally.

The problem is that in different parts of your body, fat cells have an imbalance of alpha and beta receptors. Typically in women the lower down their torso you go, the higher the ratio of alpha to betas... that is there are more receptors for storing fat and less receptors for excreting it.

Mesotherapy acts by stimulating the beta receptors to excrete fat, and by blocking the alpha receptors so that fat cannot go back into the cell. the body then uses up the fatty acids in its normal day to day function.
